Summer in the City
“Have you made your plans for summertime? I have, and boy, the gang and I are going to have a hot time this summer in the city. Come join us! For Memorial Day, we’ll all be out for those warm summer nights in this beautiful city. In June, my bff is going to the chapel and is gonna get married! Can you feel the love tonight? I know I can. Then we hit the fireworks for the Fourth, where I’m told there will be an amazing performance of selections of Randall Thompson’s “Testament to Freedom.” Later, my favorite nephew is off to Camp Granada. His one request: ‘Uncle Phil? When I get back, take me out to the ballgame!’ How could I say no? In August, we all head to the shore. On the way to Cape May, we’ll meet up with some Jersey boys for a little summer lovin’ under the boardwalk. I’ll be doing whatever snow does in summer. That, or some surfin’ USA. And we finish up on Labor Day with a huge block party complete with the best music and dancin’ in the streets. Plus so much more! We’ll all be there, along with those sexy PGMC dancers I’ve seen you eyeing. All we need for the perfect fun, fun, fun time is you!”
Count the songs: Sixteen songs we’re performing are hidden in the description above, either as song titles or allusions to the song. Can you guess them all? These are only about half of the songs we’re performing, so come find out what the others will be.
