The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) is pleased to present the inaugural Philly Youth Theatre Festival, a regional theatre competition for high school-aged youth on June 7, 2017.
Presented by OACCE and in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, and St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and hosted by the Prince Theater, the Festival will bring together high-school aged students around their shared passion for theatre. Come see scenes performed by some of the region’s best youth drama and theater programs, and help celebrate the area’s talented young artists.
Young actors from the following schools and programs will perform ensemble scenes and monologues for celebrity judges in one of Philadelphia’s high-profile professional venues; competing for prize money for their programs.
