Produced and Directed by Tony Fillipone
An Evening With President Kennedy begins with Kennedy’s election in 1960 and he addresses the major events of his presidency leading up to that fateful trip to Dallas. The audience is then invited to suspend its disbelief and assume that the President suffered only a single, non-fatal wound.
The production then presents the author’s vision of Kennedy’s presidency and post-White House life if he had been wounded in Dallas, but survived. Joe Lawless, as JFK, provides glimpses into the private life of the aging Jack Kennedy after leaving office and reflects upon his career, his family and his losses with an honesty that envisions the man, the statesman and the icon we never truly got to know.
