KUN-YANG LIN/DANCERS (KYL/D)
“superbly trained dancers…thrilling…theatrical magic.” – The Philadelphia Inquirer
Lin’s dances “create and inhabit worlds of their own.” – The New York Times
April 27-29, 2017
Prince Theater | Main Stage
Reserved Seating: $22 to $38
Run-time: 90 minutes, including intermission
KYL/D’s dance artistry is informed by diverse philosophies, living traditions and contemplative practices of Asian origin. The multi-ethnic ensemble “continues to push artistic boundaries” with technically-demanding, contemporary work of poetic sensibility choreographed by Kun-Yang Lin (Dance Enthusiast).
KYL/D’s home season features the world premiere of Santuario – a moving response to the tragic shootings at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando – and the critically acclaimed One: Immortal Game – an exploration of humankind’s rituals surrounding the drive to win. See below for a brief preview.
Join the artists for a Post-Show Conversation following the Sat 2:30 performance. A safe space for questions, comments and conversation.
